The College is delighted to announce its resounding success at the recent Inter College Culinary Challenge, where our Hospitality students demonstrated exceptional skill, teamwork, and innovation to secure the prestigious Overall College Champions - GOLD award. BCoT's students swept the competition with an impressive array of individual gold, silver, and bronze medals, including multiple "Best in Class" accolades.
Held at City College, Southampton, the competition saw our students' talent shine across various demanding categories, highlighting the breadth of expertise cultivated within our hospitality courses.
A standout performer was Ashton Vivian, who achieved remarkable success in the Front of House categories. Ashton secured Gold and the coveted "Best in Class" title for the Liquor Coffee Class, alongside another Gold in the Mocktail Class. "We are absolutely thrilled with our students' performance at the Inter College Culinary Challenge," said Vicki Quilter, Faculty Head of Hospitality. "Winning the overall title is a phenomenal achievement and a powerful testament to their dedication, hard work, and raw talent. This success also reflects the unwavering commitment of our entire teaching staff, with a very special thanks to Mark Pilgrim, whose exceptional dedication over the past three months, including an extra day a week of preparation, was instrumental. Their collective success, particularly the clean sweep in Kitchen Skills and Ashton and Amy's outstanding overall student awards, fills us with immense pride and truly highlights BCoT's position as a leading institution for hospitality and culinary education."
This overall triumph reinforces BCoT's commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training that prepares students for successful careers in the dynamic hospitality sector.
