Deputy Principal, Finance & Resources

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Grant Thornton, David has spent the majority of his career in further education.  He has extensive knowledge of the sector, having worked at a sixth form college, a university and two general further education colleges since 1994.

David joined BCoT in 2005 and has led the college through an extensive capital development programme whilst ensuring it has remained financially outstanding throughout.  He has an expertise in resource management and the use of technology to drive business efficiency.  He is committed to ensuring our students have access to the best equipment and resources available to enhance their learning and vocational skills.

He describes his role at BCoT as leading on ‘everything but the teaching’ with his portfolio including strategic planning, human resources, estates, finance, IT services, information services, student records and the BCoT nursery.

David is co-chair of the South East region’s Finance Director Network and represents the region at the National College Finance Directors’ Group.
