Empowering Tomorrow's Engineers
BCoT's Engineering department is thrilled to receive a significant boost to its student support fund. In a generous display of community investment, Instavolt visited the campus to deliver a £5,000 donation aimed at leveling the playing field for aspiring engineers.
The official cheque presentation saw Instavolt’s Emily Hawkins and Amy Fuller meet with Shane Munford, Faculty Head of Engineering, alongside a group of students who will directly benefit from the contribution.
This funding allows us to purchase 15 Google Chromebooks for students who need tech support at home, as well as essential PPE, boots, and overalls for those who need a helping hand with kit costs.
For Shane Munford, the donation represents more than just a financial transaction; it’s an investment in the local talent pipeline.
"This support from Instavolt is transformative," said Shane. "Engineering is a demanding field that requires both digital literacy and hands-on grit. By removing the stress of how a student will afford their boots or how they'll access their coursework from home, we allow them to focus entirely on their craft."
As the UK continues to bridge the skills gap in green energy and infrastructure, partnerships between educational institutions and industry giants like Instavolt are becoming increasingly vital. By equipping students today, Instavolt is helping ensure that the next generation of engineers is ready to hit the ground running on day one of their careers.
A massive thank you to the entire team at Instavolt for their incredible generosity and commitment to our students' success!
