You will learn about photographic make-up, styling and dressing hair, body art design and skin tanning.The optional section of this qualification allows you to select from a full list of beauty units giving you the opportunity to choose which skills and knowledge you would like to develop further. The choice ranges from; instruction on make-up application, skin tanning or eyelash perming. Underpinning this qualification you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice in a salon environment.

• Four GCSEs at grade 3/D or above, preferably to include English and maths and a science, or completion of our Future Pathways course.

On completion of the course, you can progress to a Level 3 Media Make-Up qualification and eventually into work as a makeup artist or onto higher education.
