No formal qualifications are required, however, all learners must complete an initial discussion to determine suitability and their current level of digital skills.
This course is part of the Adult Skills Fund and is fully-funded (FREE) if you are 19+ and:
- Unemployed, looking for work and in receipt of a means tested benefit
- Are employed with digital skills below level 1
Please kindly note that you will not be eligible to study this programme for free if you are on a Skilled Worker Visa.
Learners must aspire to improve their digital skills for life and employment.
The assessments are externally set, internally marked and externally verified. Assessments include:
- task-based assessment
- question paper
- observation with the learner
The qualification is graded pass/fail.
This course will give learners the opportunity to develop basic IT skills that will equip them to be able to carry out general administration using IT. This gives options for a wide range of job roles, including administration, retail and hospitality. These skills can also support IT use for personal means. Successful completion can allow for progression onto the Level 1 course.
