Course Overview

This one-year BTEC course covers a mixture of different subjects that reflect popular employment streams in the IT industry.

This course examines the online world, and technology systems including a close look at computer hardware, and networks. This course also provides an introduction to software development, data modelling and computer security in practice.

Course Content

This course covers a wide range of subjects including digital portfolio, networking, using databases, introduction to programming, online systems and technology systems.

Entry Requirement

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths, or completion of our Future Pathways course.

Assessment

You are assessed via a range of assessment methods, which includes an examination set externally and a collection of practical and written assignment set and marked by your unit lecturers.
