This course is delivered in partnership with the University of Reading. You spend the first two years studying at BCoT one afternoon/evening per week. There is then the opportunity to spend the final year at the University of Reading to ‘top up’ to a full BA (Hons) degree. This course provides the ideal opportunity to work towards a degree alongside relevant employment and is half the cost of a traditional degree programme at university.

Modules include:
- Professionalism in the children's workforce
- Theories of development and learning
- The child in society
- Creativity and critical thinking
GCSE English grade C or above. Applicants should also have completed a Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related subject and be working at least 0.5FT in a childcare setting.
This course is assessed through a variety of methods for each module.
These may include: Essays, Reports, Presentations, Research Project, Guided Professional Discussions and Reflective Accounts.
