Level 5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare Cache Diploma
This work-based qualification is aimed at learners working in a management or deputy role in a residential childcare placement.
The qualification is tailored to suit the learner and employer by choosing the most relevant optional units, in addition to the mandatory required units which gives learners the opportunity to:
- Develop and demonstrate technical and wider sector-related knowledge to underpin competence in the learner's job role
- Develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning through the development of personal, learning and thinking skills
- Have existing skills recognised
- Achieve a nationally recognised Level 5 qualification.
The qualification is tailored to suit the learner and employer by choosing the most relevant optional units, in addition to the required mandatory units.
You need to be in a deputy or manager's role in a suitable childcare setting. GSCE grade C or above in English or Maths is required or the equivalent.
This diploma is delivered in the workplace using a variety of assessment methods used throughout the course. Methods include: workplace observations, witness testimonies, professional discussion, oral and written questions and work product evidence.
