Lorraine Heath

Principal and Chief Executive

Lorraine joined BCoT in 1997, initially working in corporate services before qualifying as a teacher in 2001. She excelled in various teaching and curriculum management roles before taking charge of apprenticeships and employer engagement in 2011 - both key priorities for the college.

As Deputy Principal for Business, Lorraine was instrumental in expanding BCoT's apprenticeship offerings, driving significant growth in both learner enrollment and employer partnerships. In May 2019, her role expanded when she was named Deputy Principal for Curriculum, Performance, and Innovation, culminating in her recent appointment as Principal.

In addition to her leadership at BCoT, Lorraine spent over five years working part-time as an Ofsted inspector, evaluating colleges and training providers.
