Water Leak on South Site
During half term we discovered a water leak on the South Site. Whilst we have been working hard to fix it, it has not been possible to do so before your return to college. This means that the water is turned off and as a result, we do not have running water or toilets in use on South Site (where main reception is).
College will be open as normal on Monday and we have implemented some emergency measures as follows:
-
There are portaloos on South Site behind F Block and in front of G Block
-
Water stations have been set up next to the existing water points
-
The Refectory remains open but only selling packaged food and drinks. No freshly made food will be available.
-
If your class is on South Site, your course tutor will look at whether we can move it to North Site temporarily. If this happens your Dashboard will be updated. Please check before going to your lessons.
We are obviously keen to keep any disruption to you to a minimum. You can use North Site as normal, and the water, toilets and cafe there will be open. You may just find it a little busier.
We expect a repair to be in place on Tuesday.
If you are due to sit a GCSE next week, please rest assured that there is no change other than the toilets.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your RAP tutor or course tutor.
