To support the Government’s commitment to decarbonise the UK’s road transport network, BCoT in collaboration with seven other colleges across Hampshire and Surrey, is offering a suite of FREE online courses to enable local people to train in the latest Electric Vehicle (EV) and Hybrid technology skills.

The free-to-access courses, which focus on Electric and Hybrid vehicle maintenance and repair, were custom-made by e-learning developers LJ Create, following a £2.6m funding boost from the Department for Education (DfE), as part of the Strategic Development Fund (SDF).  

The short course includes:

  • Introduction to Electric Vehicle Technology
  • Introduction to Hybrid Vehicles
  • High Voltage Vehicle Safety
  • Electric Vehicle Battery Systems
  • Electric Vehicle Motor/Generator Systems

The courses come at a time when the need for people to upskill in emerging green automotive technologies has never been greater.
