Course Introduction
This one-year BTEC qualification will provide you with the fundamental knowledge and understanding of business principles that can be applied in a range of business settings. It will appeal to students wishing to understand how business works, and who want to progress into employment or further study in this area.
The course provides an introduction to topics such as business enterprise, finance, marketing, customer service, recruitment, team building and project management.
This course covers a wide range of units including:
- Enterprise in the Business World
- Finance for Business
- Principles of Marketing
- Principles of Customer Service
- Recruitment, Selection and Employment
- Building Successful Business Teams
- Introducing Project Management
- Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths or completion of our level 1 course.
You are assessed using a range of assessment methods including two externally set exams, internally set assignments, and project-based work.
Successful completion of this course would allow you to progress to T Level in Team Leadership & Management or a related apprenticeship/employment.
