Course Overview
This BPEC qualification has knowledge and performance units which between them cover the competencies for the installation of small-scale solar PV systems. It is specifically for electricians who wish to upgrade their skills.
Unit 2: Install, commission and hand over small-scale solar photovoltaic systems.
Course Content
Entry Requirement
Candidates must be at least 16 years old and have an N/SVQ 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) or equivalent earlier certification that provides evidence of competence. In addition, if not included in the above, current certification of BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations.
Assessment
The qualification is assessed by a mixture of an on-screen exam, and practical assessment.
