Focusing on the major disciplines within engineering, the learner will gain the knowledge and hand skills needed to develop or build on a successful career in engineering and advanced manufacturing. They are also vital components of an Intermediate and Advanced Engineering apprenticeships.
This level is ideal if you're a school leaver with some engineering knowledge and experience, or require some engineering skills in your role. Students will develop your understanding and practical experience of specific engineering technologies.
If you are under 19 and if you do not hold a GCSE Grade 4 or higher in English and Maths, you will be required to work towards these qualifications.
You will learn the knowledge and hands on skills needed to develop or build on a successful career in electrical and manufacturing engineering which will develop your understanding and practical experience of specific engineering technologies.

During the course learners will do a series of practical based activities and create a portfolio of evidence, they will be observed and assessed throughout the year.
There will also be some online exams and written tests to complete.
This course is a recognised route into a full-time Level 3 course or employment, including an apprenticeship.
