36-week programme
- Prepare for the hair/barbering services and maintain work areas
- Contribute to the development of effective working relationships
- Blow-dry hair
- Shampoo and condition hair
- Assist with salon reception duties (barbering)
- Assist with hair colouring and lighting services
- Plait and twist hair using basic techniques (hair)
- Expected industry placement
- English and maths
- GCSE English and maths at grade 2 or above
Successful completion of year one will allow progression to Level 2 Hairdressing or Level 2 Barbering.
