The Level 2 Diploma in Care may also be undertaken as part of this course to assist in building up an evidence portfolio for the end point assessment
Math's and English Functional skills at Level 1 (unless exempt if have equivalent)

Successfully achieve a grade in the end point assessment.
There are no specific entry requirements to the apprenticeship, but apprentices will need to be employed in a relevant role within a healthcare environment and have the ability to achieve, with support, the required level of maths and English need for achievement, this will be assessed prior to starting.
Once on the apprenticeship a suitably qualified assessor will be assigned that will visit the workplace regularly. Assessment plans will be completed and 12 weekly reviews to keep the apprentice on target. They will support with collection of the required evidence needed for the qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussion, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and training and support to complete written assignments.
