This qualification will enable the apprentice to
develop the required skills, knowledge and behaviours to become a competent
healthcare worker providing high quality and compassionate care to individuals. The apprentice should be working
in a healthcare environment which provides patient care including
hospitals, community settings, or nursing homes as part of a team.

Once on the apprenticeship, a suitably qualified assessor will be assigned that will visit the workplace regularly. Assessment plans will be completed and 12 weekly reviews to keep the apprentice on target. They will support with collection of the required evidence needed for the qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussion, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and training and support to complete written assignments.
