Course Introduction

The NCFE qualification is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding, and skills required for success in the Uniformed Public Services industry.

On this one-year course, you will:

  • Investigate employment within a variety of exciting careers
  • Develop Physical fitness; your own personal development or how to train others
  • Undertake adventurous activitiesĀ 
  • Participate in competitive sports
  • Develop teamwork and problem-solving skillsĀ 
  • Health and safety training and regulations
  • Health and hygiene training and understanding
  • Follow uniformed service routineĀ 
  • Exploring equality and diversity in the workplace


Students will have the opportunity to undertake a variety of enrichment activities; which include;Ā 

  • Residential trip to the Isle of Wight
  • Opportunity to gain First Aid and Lifeguarding (NPLQ) Qualification
  • Guest Speakers from all Uniformed Services and Sport & Leisure Industries
  • Visits to external partners, including Longmoor Barracks (British Army), CTCRM Lympstone (Royal Marines), University Campus of Football Business (Wembley Stadium) and Local Gym/Sports Facilities
  • Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths or completion of our Future Pathways course.
This course does not include exams. Your skills will be developed and assessed through assignments, workbooks, and visual skill/coaching assessments.
To be awarded this qualification, learners must achieve at least a passing grade in all units.
Successful completion of this course would allow you to progress to Level 3 Entry to the Uniformed Services Diploma or a related apprenticeship/employment.
