Course Introduction

This one-year NCFE qualification is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding, and skills required for success in the Uniformed Public Services industry.

Course Content

On this one-year course, you will:

Investigate employment within a variety of exciting careers
Develop Physical fitness; your own personal development or how to train others
Undertake adventurous activities
Participate in competitive sports
Develop teamwork and problem-solving skills
Health and safety training and regulations
Health and hygiene training and understanding
Follow uniformed service routine
Exploring equality and diversity in the workplace

Students will have the opportunity to undertake a variety of enrichment activities; which include;

Residential trip to the Isle of Wight
Opportunity to gain First Aid and Lifeguarding (NPLQ) Qualification
Guest Speakers from all Uniformed Services and Sport & Leisure Industries
Visits to external partners, including Longmoor Barracks (British Army), CTCRM Lympstone (Royal Marines), University Campus of Football Business (Wembley Stadium) and Local Gym/Sports Facilities

Entry Requirement

Four GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including English and maths.

Assessment

This course does not include exams. Your skills will be developed and assessed through assignments, workbooks, and visual skill/coaching assessments.

To be awarded this qualification, learners must achieve at least a passing grade in all units.

Where does this course lead to

Successful completion of this course would allow you to progress to Level 3 Entry to the Uniformed Services Diploma or a related apprenticeship/employment.
