This VTCT qualification is designed to develop your practical skills in applying and maintaining nail enhancements using either liquid and powder or UV gel nail systems.
The course will cover practical skills in the application of airbrush designs for nails, using electrical files, and the application and design of nail art. You will learn underpinning knowledge relating to these technical skills. In addition, you will know how to promote both products and services to salon clients and you will gain a sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a salon environment. You will also gain the necessary client care and communication skills as well as an understanding of how to work with colleagues in a nail or beauty salon.

- Successful completion of a relevant level 2 qualification.
As part of this qualification you are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. A portfolio will confirm the knowledge, understanding and skills that you have learnt. Your assessor will provide guidance on how to prepare the portfolio of evidence and how to show practical achievement, and understanding of the knowledge required to successfully complete this qualification.

- Evidence of prior learning or attainment

- Oral questions
- Assignments

- Professional discussion
