By the end of this course, you'll have a DBS check, Food Hygiene Certificate, and Paediatric First Aid Certificate – all the tools you need to impress potential employers and confidently embark on your childcare adventure.

If you are unable to commit to a daytime Skills Bootcamp, please do consider our evening programme too. The evening course is delivered twice a week in the evening and runs for 15 weeks.

- The Skills Bootcamp is designed for adults aged 19+.
- Either be in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break.
- Be a UK resident for at least 3 consecutive years and have the right to work in the UK.
How much does a Skills Bootcamp Cost?
There may be no cost involved if you are unemployed or employed and looking for a career change.
Are you an employer looking to upskill your staff?
Are you looking to invest in your employees' professional development and boost your company's productivity? Do you have some new staff that would benefit from our Skills Bootcamp as part of their onboarding? Our Skills Bootcamps offer a flexible and cost-effective way to upskill your workforce.
Large employers looking to upskill their staff will contribute 30% of the cost for their staff members and small or medium-sized employers will contribute 10%.
This course is in line with Level 3 standards and so the following will be required:
- GCSE English and maths at grade 4 and above (or equivalent)
A short discussion will also be required with our Skills Bootcamp Coordinator to ensure that this course is suitable for your needs.
You will be required to achieve a pass result for the Food Safety and Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid Test to receive the certificates. You will also complete a portfolio of work as you progress through the course.
- Learners can progress straight into employment or gain a head start on an apprenticeship. The Accelerated Apprenticeships model is designed to fast-track learners from this Skills Bootcamp onto a Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship.
- With further training, progression opportunities can include a Room Leader or a Senior Nursery Worker.
