Students under 19 will be required to undertake employer engagement throughout the course and may only attempt each assessment twice within 12 months of their qualification start date. Learners who take an assessment twice in the 12-month period will have to wait until the following period before taking it again. All units are mandatory and completion of four individual computerised assessments is required along with a synoptic assessment that will assess the content of four specific units.

A certificate for the level will be achieved by passing all individual unit assessments and the synoptic assessment.
